Duchess to have ‘Berkshire Birth’?

Kate Middleton Berkshire Birth

We already heard the idea that the Duchess of Cambridge will spend the first 6 weeks after giving birth back at her parents home in the village of Bucklebury, Berkshire.

Now it has been suggested the Duchess has chosen to give birth at a hospital local to her parents home.

This is a break with tradition.  It had been widely expected that the third in line to the throne would be born in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, where Diana, Princess of Wales gave birth to the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

Sarah, Duchess of York also gave birth to Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie at Portland.

Always close to her family, Kate will be surrounded by them in the comfort of the family home and hopefully get some peace with the newborn.

She may be the future Queen, but our Duchess is clearly a Home Counties girl at heart….
